In a recent IGN interview with Ewan McGregor he announced that they have moved the filming date from August 2020 to January 2021, they said that they need more time to work on the script, Ewan also said the script is really good he read about 90% of it, but they need more time to perfect it, the series it set in the time after Revenge Of The Sith, 11 years before A New Hope, it follows Obi Wan Kenobi's journey as a Jedi Master during Emperor Palpatine's ruling, they also confirmed that the show will feature Jar Jar Binks as a main character, fans were happy about that, from what it sounds like the series will be a hit. I personally can't wait for it to come out, I watched the Mandalorian and I really enjoyed it, So they should do a pretty good job with this one, it also does have a lot of expectations though that are hard to meet, especially since it won't come out for another 1-2 years, the series is directed by Deborah Chow, and it's being written by Hossein Amini, The show has been planned for 4 years it was originally going to be a movie but they decided to make it a mini series instead, that's all we know so far about The Obi-wan Series, we will keep you updated if we hear anything.
